Arab Voices (Episode # 1,205)
The American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), a national education and grassroots-based organization in the United States, dedicated to educating the American public about Palestine and its rich cultural, historical and religious heritage, organized and hosted the 18th Palestine Convention in November 2025, in Tinley Park, near Chicago, Illinois, under the theme "Beyond Survival: Resisting Genocide". The convention theme revolved around the genocide in Gaza, attended by more than 5,000 people. With more than 60 speakers, 40 sessions, a buzzing bazaar, and multiple tracks, the convention has been hailed by attendees as one of the best they've ever experienced.
During this episode of Arab Voices, we will air one of the panel discussions held during that convention, titled "International Accountability: Removing Israel’s Cloak of Immunity". The Panelists were Dr. Norman Finkelstein, an American political scientist, activist, holocaust expert, and author of many books, Othman Atta, Executive Director of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, a community leader and activist, and Alicia Koutsoulieris, Amnesty International Country Specialist for Israel & Occupied Palestine Territories, who also serves on the board of directors of Partners for Palestine in Florida. The moderator was Tarek Khalil, an attorney and activist, who serves as the Education Chair with the American Muslims for Palestine and board member of its Chicago chapter.
