During this episode of Arab Voices, we will have 5 segments:
1) Electronic Intifada Newscast - A summary of the latest developments in occupied Palestine, including the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the West Bank, and the latest developments in Lebanon that is under constant bombardment by Apartheid Israel, presented by Nora Barrows-Friedman, associate editor at the Electronic Intifada.
2) End US involvement and support for Israel’s military campaign in Lebanon - Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib's remarks on the floor of the House of Representatives on June 3, 2026, urging Congress to end US involvement and support for Israel’s military campaign in Lebanon and to vote yes on Lebanon War Powers resolution.
3) Israeli forces committed rape and sexual abuse against Palestinian detainees - On May 29, 2026, the United Nations held a press conference at which Pramila Patten, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, revealed the finding of a new UN report on Sexual Violence in Conflict for 2025 which included accusations that the Israeli forces committed rape and sexual abuse against Palestinian detainees.
4) "Erasing anything Palestinian" - Amnesty International released a new report on June 10, 2026, accusing Apartheid Israel of state-led ethnic cleansing in the occupied West Bank. In the 150-page report, Amnesty International says escalating forced displacement and settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank is part of a state-led campaign to control the Palestinian territory. We will listen to some of the remarks delivered by Agnès Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International, delivered at a press conference on June 10, 2026.
5) Israel's Deadly Attack on the USS Liberty - June 8, 2026, marked the 59th anniversary of the deadly Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, a signal intelligence platform ship that was in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. The ship was brutally attacked on June 8, 1967, by Israel, despite the fact that Israel knew it was a United Stated communications ship! The attack by the Israeli fighter jets and torpedo boats killed 34 U.S. servicemen and injured 174 others. Congressman Thomas Massie spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives on June 8, demanding a probe into Israel’s 1967 attack on the USS Liberty, and calling on the US government to honor its survivors.
