Arab Voices (Episode # 1,223)

During this episode of Arab Voices, we will have 4 segments:

1) Electronic Intifada Newscast - A summary of the latest developments in occupied Palestine, including the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the West Bank, and the latest developments in Lebanon that is under constant bombardment by Apartheid Israel, presented by Nora Barrows-Friedman, associate editor at the Electronic Intifada.

2) “The essence of childhood has been destroyed”: Israel’s deliberate targeting of Palestinian children in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 7 October 2023 - Srinivasan Muralidhar, Chair of the UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel speaking at a press conference on June 23, 2026, about the newly released UN report “The essence of childhood has been destroyed”: Israel’s deliberate targeting of Palestinian children in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 7 October 2023. 

3) Emergency Session on Gaza at UNSC - Bushra Khalidi, Palestinian mother from Jerusalem living in the occupied West Bank, and Head of Humanitarian Policy at OXFAM International, addressing the UN Security Council on June 18, 2026, during an emergency session on Gaza, where she warned that the ceasefire in Gaza is failing and urged member states to uphold their obligations under Resolution 2803.

4) International Conference Against War - Stop the War Coalition, organized an International Conference Against War on June 20, 2026, in London, in the UK. It was an incredible conference attended by 3,000 trade unionists and anti-war activists from over 27 countries. It was an amazing show of international solidarity against war and militarism, the genocide in Gaza, and the explosion of military budgets across the world. During this episode of Arab Voices, we will air the remarks of Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, Palestinian physician, activist, secretary general and co-founder of the Palestinian National Initiative, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, and president of the Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committee, and Zarah Sultana, a British politician who has served as Member of Parliament for Coventry South. The International Anti-War conference released a statement which includes calling for a coordinated day of demonstrations in every country for Palestine on October 10, 2026, to end three years of genocide and decades of occupation and apartheid.
